Denmark helps enterprises to control HIV in the workplace

Lam Dong, April 11 (VNA) - Managers from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from Central Highlands Lam Dong province and central Khanh Hoa province gathered at a workshop on improving awareness and knowledge of HIV/AIDS in the workplace in the resort city of Da Lat on April 11. The workshop was part of Denmark's Business Sector Programme Support (BSPS) to Viet Nam. In 2006, the programme is being carried out in Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, central Nghe An province and northern Ha Tay province with funding of 5 billion VND (312,500 USD). The SME managers learned about the role of employers in HIV/AIDs control and how to organise HIV/AIDS control groups at their enterprises, build their own action plans on HIV control and coordinate with local organisations in the field.-Enditem
