Ha Noi (VNA)- On June 27, President Hu Jintao and Premier of the State Council Wen Jiabao of China have sent separate messages of greetings to the new President Nguyen Minh Triet and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, on their elections to the posts.
The Chinese leaders shared a view that Viet Nam and China have a common border and enjoy a traditional friendship. Bilateral relations have constantly improved as illustrated in regular exchanges of high-level visits, which have increased political mutual trust. There are consecutive records on bilateral trade and economic ties, as well as, broader cooperation in culture, technology and other areas.
They also said Viet Nam and China are speeding up their national development. The two countries have much in common and share a broad range of interests in promoting peace and development in the region and the world as a whole. The strengthening and developing of Viet Nam-China relations are in the best interests of the two peoples.
China is willing to work with Viet Nam in increasing mutual trust, broadening ranges of contacts and deepening cooperation so as to bring bilateral cooperative ties to a new high, the Chinese leaders pledged.
They concluded their greetings by expressing the hope that the two countries will continue to for ever good neighbours, best friends, good comrades and reliable partners.--Endtem
