Ha Noi (VNA) - The Ministry of Education and Training has announced a kindergarten education development scheme from now until 2015 in which almost all children will receive care and appropriate education forms and the rate of malnourished children be reduced.

Under the scheme that has been approved by the Government, in ethnic-inhabited, disadvantaged and border areas and islands, the country strives to raise the rate of under six children having access to kindergartens from 43 percent in 2005 to 55 percent in 2010 and 62 percent in 2015.

The scheme also aims to reduce the rate of malnourished children at pre-school classes to under 12 percent in 2010 and less than 10 percent in 2015.

The scheme underlines the aid of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and non-governmental organisations inside the country and abroad to carry out small projects on setting up appropriate forms of kindergarten in disadvantaged areas.-Enditem
