Ha Tay: deltoid muscular fibrosis children recovered

Ha Tay (VNA) - More than 1,700 schoolchildren with deltoid muscular fibrosis in the Red River delta province of Ha Tay have returned to normal after surgery and joined other pupils in the new 2006-2007school year. The report was made by Nguyen Hung Muu, Director of Ha Tay's Health Care Service, on Sept. 20 at a meeting to review the provincial programme on treatment for children with deltoid muscular fibrosis. Over the past three months, the province has diagnosed and treated more than 2,500 young patients of the disease. Among them, 1,735 were operated. The provincial polyclinic hospital, the Son Tay hospital and the Military Hospital 105 have closely cooperated with district hospitals to perform surgery on, care and give functional rehabilitation to the patients.-Enditem
