Thua Thien-Hue draws investors to economic zone

Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) - Central Thua Thien-Hue province has attracted 54 foreign-invested projects to its Chan May-Lang Co economic zone, with some projects beginning operation. Noteworthy is a project on construction material production of Australia's Alcal company, which has earned 70.7 million USD from exports so far this year, representing 58.4 percent of the province's total export turnover. To push up foreign investment, the province has been simplifying administrative procedures, and given more incentives in land rent, taxes, labour force as well as other policies. For projects in the Chan May-Lang Co economic zone, the province applies a tax rate of 10 percent on revenues for 15 years and halves other taxes for the first nine years of operation.-Enditem
