Ha Noi (VNA) - US President George W. Bush and his wife arrived in HCM City on the evening of Nov. 19 for a two-day working visit.

On the morning of Nov. 20, President Bush called in at the HCM City's stock exchange and joined a round-table meeting between six US and five Vietnamese businesses.

Addressing the meeting, President Bush expressed his delight at visiting the HCM City Securities Trading Centre, saying that he was surprised at the city's strong growth.

He talked with Vietnamese entrepreneurs about their business and investment situation and their investment and trade plans for the future.

The US President and his wife then visited the HCM City Pasteur Institute where they were briefed of the HIV/AIDS and bird flu prevention and control programmes.

Their last stop was the HCM City History Museum to see historical artefacts and a folk art performance by the city's children.-Enditem
