Paediatric hospital to conduct fourth liver transplant

Ha Noi (VNA) - The Ha Noi-based National Paediatric Hospital plans to conduct its fourth liver transplant on a five-year-old girl on Jan. 22 with help from Taiwanese experts. The liver recipient, Nguyen Thi Hai Anh, from the northern province of Hai Duong, is suffering from cirrhosis. She will receive liver from her paternal grandmother, Nguyen Thi Dinh, who is 54 years old. The hospital, in coordination with doctors from the Republic of Korea, has already successfully performed three liver transplant operations.-Enditem
