Government delegation inspects bird flu control strategies in Ha Noi

Ha Noi (VNA) - A governmental delegation, led by Health Minister, Tran Thi Trung Chien, on Jan. 11, inspected bird flu control measures in Ha Noi. The delegation, after meeting with officials of the municipal People's Committee, examined the prevention work at Dong Da district hospital and some animal breeding establishments and slaughtering houses in Dong Anh district. Minister Chien affirmed that the ministry has prepared enough medicines and facilities for all localities nationwide to cope with the epidemic. She asked the city to intensify its bird flu control activities at all levels through closely monitoring poultry trade into the city, actively examining the vaccination of poultry and developing safety measures for people working in direct contract with animal breeding facilities. The delegation highly approved Ha Noi's coordination efforts with providers of poultry products.-Enditem
