Phnom Penh (VNA) – The European Union planned to grant Cambodia 144 million EUR (roughly 187 million USD) in development aid for the year 2007, according to an EU news release.
The amount of assistance was elaborated in the EU Blue Book, a report that includes the roadmap for the use of the EU grant. It was submitted to Cambodian Finance and Economy Minister Kiet Chhun late last week during his meeting with Pius Fischer, German Ambassador and representative of the EU in Cambodia.
In 2006, the EU offered approximately 160 million USD in grant aid for the development project in Cambodia.- Enditem
