Viet Nam's wildlife watchdog set up

Ha Noi (VNA) - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has decided to set up an agency to execute the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). CITES Viet Nam will implement the country's rights and obligations as a CITES member, examine and manage the breeding of and trading in wild animals and plants under CITES appendix in Viet Nam. It will also grant and withdraw CITES licences in accordance with the convention's regulations.-Enditem
