First GMP vaccine production facility inaugurated

Ha Noi (VNA) - Viet Nam's first vaccine production facility, which meets the Good Management Practice (GMP) standards, was officially put into operation on Feb. 12. The facility is part of a 28.5 million USD project funded by the Republic of Korea (RoK) government to help Viet Nam produce vaccines against five major contagious rival diseases, namely hepatitis B, Japanese encephalitis, cholera, rabies and typhoid. Once fully operational, Viet Nam will be able to produce enough vaccines to meet its local demand and export the surplus.-Enditem
