Ca Mau (VNA) - After a week of announcing its control of bird flu, the southernmost province of Ca Mau opened all of its bird sanctuaries to visitors.

Almost all of the sanctuaries attracted large numbers of visitors, especially the bird sanctuary right in the centre of Ca Mau city, receiving over 1,000 visitors on its first opening day.

The province has over 10 bird sanctuaries located in forests with hundreds of thousands of birds which includes 30 rare species.

The province is expected to have additional many bird sanctuaries in the future since it developed a number of measures for protection of forests.-Enditem
