Indonesia to hold regional counter-terrorism conference

Jakarta (VNA) - Indonesia will host a sub-regional conference on counter-terrorism at foreign ministerial level in Jakarta from Mar. 5-6, Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesman Desra Percaya said on Feb. 24. The conference will be held at the joint proposal of Indonesian Foreign Minister Hassan Wirayuda and his Australian counterpart Alexander Downer, and therefore it would be co-chaired by both ministers, the spokesman was quoted by Indonesia ’s Antara news agency as saying. The conference is scheduled to be attended by the foreign ministers of Malaysia , Thailand , the Philippines and Singapore 's senior minister.-Enditem
