Book about Vietnamese AO victims published in France

26/02/2007 -- 11:24 AM

Paris (VNA) – “Les enfants et le buffle”, a story book about Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin-affected Vietnamese children, has been published in France by the French Committee for the Van Canh Friendship Village.

Through a tragedy that struck a family with three children who were then assisted by the genie of buffalo, the book, written by Zineb Labidi and illustrated with emotive pictures by Simone Bernier, refers to the suffering of the Vietnamese children who have been affected by the toxic chemical sprayed by the US military during the war in Viet Nam.

The book is considered as an appeal for all children across the world to unite with the Vietnamese children, particularly those suffering the effects of Agent Orange.

Reiterating the serious consequences of Agent Orange for the Vietnamese people, George Doussin, Honourable President of the French committee, highly appreciated efforts to build the Van Canh Friendship Village nearby Ha Noi, where nearly 200 AO-affected children are being cared for and treated.-Enditem
