Ha Noi invests millions of dollars for traffic safety

26/02/2007 -- 9:05 PM

Ha Noi (VNA)- Viet Nam's capital will disburse 350 billion VND (22.87 million USD) from Japan's ODA for a project on traffic safety, having reached a consensus with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).
The Managerial Board of the Ha Noi Key Projects for Urban Development is finalising the project documents to submit for approval by the Prime Minister and deployment later this year.
A number of other infrastructure projects are also expected to kick off this year. They include construction of parts of two belt roads, expansion of a traffic jam-prone crossroad and the upgrade of a water plant in the suburban residential quarter.
Ha Noi is also speeding up the construction of several other projects that have used Japan's ODA to decongest traffic jams in several crossroads, upgrade road and bridge systems and improve the water supply network and sewerages.--Enditem
