Int'l telecom, broadcast, IT exhibition to open in Ha Noi

Ha Noi (VNA) - An international exhibition on telecommunications, broadcasting, and information technology (IT) will be held in Ha Noi on May 24. The exhibition will attract 300 participating companies from both Vietnamese and international service and equipment suppliers, including Sony Viet Nam, and the Viet Nam Cinema and Broadcasting Equipment Import-Export Company (Vinematim), according to the organising board. High on the agenda of the four-day event will be workshops held to discuss development trends in the telecommunications, broadcast and IT industries, said Hoang Thi Minh Nguyet, Deputy General Director of the Radio Voice of Viet Nam (VOV). Being the world's second fastest growing information, communication and technology (ICT) development market after China and by recording growth rates in excess of over 50 percent over the last two years, Viet Nam continues to be eyed as an attractive market by high-end product and service suppliers. Industry experts estimate that Viet Nam's ICT market will rake in over 3 billion USD in revenues in 2007 and 5 billion USD by 2010.-Enditem
