Viet Nam, San Marino establish diplomatic ties

Rome (VNA) – Viet Nam and the tiny Republic of San Marino signed an agreement to establish diplomatic ties in Rome, Italy, on July 6.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Nguyen Van Nam and San Marino Ambassador to Italy Barbara Para inked the accord on behalf of their respective governments.

The two ambassadors also briefed each other and exchanged views on how to work together more closely in the areas of tourism and culture.

The tiny Republic of San Marino was founded in 301 and is Europe's oldest state. With just 63 km in land area the country is home to around 30,000 people.-Enditem
