PM wants stronger ties with Switzerland

Ha Noi (VNA) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung stated that greater efforts would be employed to create new economic ties with Switzerland , while receiving the European country's new ambassador to Viet Nam in Ha Noi on July 12. PM Dung told Swiss Ambassador Jean Habert Lebet that he was happy with the existing relationship between the two countries and expressed his hope that the diplomat would help to boost ties in the future. He went on to applaud Switzerland 's assistance, especially its ODA, as significant contributors to the country's socio-economic development. The new Swiss ambassador relayed his government's decision to issue a document recognising Viet Nam 's full market economy.-Enditem
