Exchange programme to be held for VN, Lao people

Ha Noi (VNA) – A 45-member Vietnamese delegation will visit Laos from July 15-21 to attend the Viet Nam-Laos People Friendship Festival, said President of the Viet Nam-Laos Friendship Association Huynh Dam at a press briefing in Ha Noi on July 12. The delegation will include representatives from sectors, organisations and provinces that share a border with Laos as well as soldiers and experts, who were formerly based in Viet Nam’s western neighbour. The delegation is slated to visit will visit Vientiane, Bolikhamsay and Savannakhet provinces. They will meet with Lao Party General Secretary and State President Choummaly Sayasone, and take part in a meeting to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Viet Nam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (July 18) and the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties (September 5) between the two countries.-Enditem
