Laos to further develop special ties with Viet Nam

Vientiane (VNA) – The Party, the army and people of Laos will continue to develop traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with Viet Nam, Lao Deputy Prime Minister Somsavath Lengsavath has said. The Deputy PM made the remark at a seminar, called “Strengthening of traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Viet Nam,” held in Vientiane on July 12 to celebrate the the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties (September 5) and the 30th anniversary of the Laos-Viet Nam Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (July 18). He described such relationship as a decisive factor to victories of each country. On the occasion, the Deputy PM expressed profound gratitude to valuable assistance of the Party, the Government and people of Viet Nam to Laos's past struggle for national liberation as well as the country’s current national defence and construction.-Enditem
