Ha Noi (VNA) - The French government has conferred the Order of Arts and Literature on painter Le Hong Thai in honour of his unique and creative works.

The 43-year-old painter from Hai Phong, who has been working as an artist for 16 years, is a member of the international lacquer association.

Widely recognised as one of Viet Nam's most talented and innovative artists, Thai b lends ancient techniques with contemporary ideas. Thai's lacquer works on silk or cotton depict harmonised nature, with the white and brown major colours.-Enditem
