“Vientiane Days” kick off in HCM City

HCM City (VNA) - A delegation from Vientiane, Laos, led by its Mayor Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, opened the “Vientaine Days” festivities in Ho Chi Minh City in July 16. In his welcoming speech, HCM City People’s Committee Chairman Le Hoang Quan said people from HCM City and Vientaine have benefited from the special relationship between Viet Nam and Laos. For his part, Khoutphaythoune said he knew that the two cities are entering into the special stage of bilateral relations. “Vientiane hopes that investors from Viet Nam’s largest economic hub will find ways to take part in over 160 projects that are in need of foreign investment,” said the Lao capital city chief.
