Deputy PM praises cultural cooperation with Laos

Ha Noi (VNA) - Cultural cooperation has played an active role in the growing comprehensive cooperation between Viet Nam and Laos, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem commented. At the meeting with Lao Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Bouangeune Saphouvong in Ha Noi on July 18, Deputy PM Khiem affirmed that the two culture ministries need to work more closely to diversify their cooperation. The Vietnamese government leader also said the two ministries should draw experiences from their organisation of activities to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Cooperation and Friendship Treaty between the two countries. The Lao official voiced his opinion that cultural cooperation has helped enrich culture and also promote the practice of traditions in each country.-Enditem
