Mass mobilisation delegation visits Laos

Vientiane (VNA) – A delegation from the Vietnamese Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation led by its Vice Chairman Dinh Huu Cuong called on President of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Sisavath Keobounphanh on July 23.

Sisavath Keobounphanh, who is also a Politburo member and head of the central steering committee for mass organisations, said the LFNC would continue to cooperate with the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and the Commission for Mass Mobilisation to raise public awareness of the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier, the Vietnamese delegation worked with LFNC Vice President Saynhamang Vongsak.

Host and guest shared experiences in mass mobilisation affairs and discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation in the near future.

During its week-long visit beginning July 22, the delegates also called at the association of Vietnamese nationals in Vientiane where Cuong emphasised that the Party and State always consider Viet kieu (overseas Vietnamese) an integral part of the Vietnamese people.

The Party official also urged the Vietnamese nationals to do their best for Viet Nam-Laos relations.-Enditem
