Kon Tum promotes cooperation with Lao provinces

Kon Tum (VNA) – Central Highlands Kon Tum province and the Lao provinces of Attapu and Sekong will increase cooperation in economic development and personnel training. Leaders of the three provinces made the commitment at a meeting held in Kon Tum on July 25 to mark the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Laos-Viet Nam Friendship and Cooperation Treaty and the 45th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. The leaders said they will promote cooperation in growing rubber and coffee, manufacturing construction materials, civil construction, irrigation, hydro-electricity and tourism development. Kon Tum province has helped train hundreds of students and officials for Attapu and Sekong provinces and Laos in general.-Enditem
