Medal presented to US-VN Trade Council President

Ha Noi (VNA) – The Vietnamese State has awarded the founding President of the US-Viet Nam Trade Council the Friendship Medal for her integral role in contributing to the promotion and normalisation of Viet Nam-US trade ties. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem presented the Medal to Virginia Foote at a ceremony held in Ha Noi on July 26 that was attended by representatives from the Presidential Office, the Government Office, related ministries and the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organisations. Also present at the award ceremony were US Ambassador to Viet Nam Michael Marine and representatives of the US embassy, the US Chamber of Commerce, the US Agency for International Development, and the Support for Trade Acceleration project (STAR Vietnam). Deputy PM Khiem praised Foote's contributions in boosting Viet Nam-US relations, especially in economy, trade and investment.-Enditem
