World marketing guru talks to local businesses

HCM City (VNA) - Philip Kotler, the father of modern marketing, presided over an international workshop "New marketing in the new age" in Ho Chi Minh City on August 17. The workshop, organised by the PACE educational institution, attracted nearly 700 businessmen experts and administrators from Viet Nam and several regional countries. Focuses of the workshop were on the new role and position of marketing and its changes and influences on businesses; new approach to modern marketing, how new technology, new tools and new models improve marketing's effectiveness. The well-known scholar presented his viewpoints on building a country's trade label in developing countries like Viet Nam. In his opinion, Viet Nam, with its friendly, hospitable, hardworking and ambitious people, is having a positive image and is capable of doing similar things as other developed countries had done.-Enditem
