WB funds transport project in Mekong Delta

Dong Thap (VNA) - The World Bank will provide a soft loan of 207.66 million USD for Viet Nam’s Mekong Delta Transport Infrastructure Development Project. The project is estimated to cost 312.02 million USD, including 25 million USD coming from the Australian Government’s non-refundable aid, and 79.36 million USD from the Government of Viet Nam. The project, which is scheduled to start in April 2008 and to be completed in September 2013, aims to promote socio-economic development and reduce traffic accidents in the region.-Enditem
