Antiwar memoir presented to NA, government officials

Ha Noi (VNA) - The "Failure to Atone" fund has presented 2,000 copies of the Vietnamese translation of a book of the same name by an American doctor, Allen Hassan, to President Nguyen Minh Triet, members of the National Assembly and other Governmental officials. The "Khong The Chuoc Loi" (Failure to Atone), published in Vietnamese by First News - Tri Viet Publishing Company, tells the story of Hassan's experiences as a volunteer doctor in Viet Nam during the Viet Nam war. The "Failure to Atone" fund was jointly established by doctor Hassan and First News - Tri Viet Publishing Company with the aim of drumming up donations from both domestic and foreign sources to aid the victims of the Viet Nam war. Doctor Hassan also donated his Viet Nam war memoir to 100 US senators.-Enditem
