First national press contest ends in success

Ha Noi (VNA) – Forty-eight outstanding press stories and programmes were awarded at a prize-presenting ceremony for the first National Press Contest held by the Viet Nam Journalists’ Association on August 27. The finalists, including 3 winning A prize and 11 – B prize, were selected from 955 works of pressmen from provincial-level associations and media organisations nationwide. Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung praised the 82-year history of the country’s revolutionary press, which has played an important role and made great contributions to the nation’s development. He said the success of the first national press contest has helped to encourage the press contingent as well as the public.-Enditem
