Viet Nam-Laos Trade Fair opens in Vientiane

Vientiane (VNA) – The Viet Nam-Laos Trade Fair 2007 opened in Vientiane on August 30 with the participation of over 200 companies from the two countries. The fair, which will run till September 5, is part of the celebration programme of the 30th anniversary of the Viet Nam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (July 18) and the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries (Sept. 5). Sixty five Vietnamese businesses brought to the fair garment and textiles, automobile spare parts, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, and canned food. Meanwhile, Lao companies are displaying their garment and textiles, food stuff, drinks and household utensils. During the fair, a meeting of entrepreneurs and a seminar on investment opportunities will be held.-Enditem
