Technology fair gets 9 contracts signed at opening

Da Nang (VNA) – The Technology and Equipment Fair 2007 (Techmart Viet Nam 2007) kicked off in central Da Nang city on Sept. 6 with nine technological transfer contracts worth 200 billion VND (12.5 million USD) in total inked on the first day. Close to 400 local businesses and around 70 foreign companies are taking part in the four-day fair showcasing their latest technologies in industry, agriculture, fisheries and forestry at 420 booths. The event is aimed at sharpening the competitive edge of the local technology market in the face of international integration. The six national and regional Techmart fairs organised in the last four years have seen nearly 3 trillion VND (187 million USD) worth of contracts signed.-Enditem
