Viet Nam joins first global growth companies' meeting

Beijing (VNA) – Vietnamese Minister of Planning and Investment Vo Hong Phuc has joined the first global growth companies’ meeting in northern China’s coastal city of Dalian. The September 6-8 meeting, initiated by the World Economic Forum (WEF), drew close to 1,700 delegates, including government officials, scholars and business leaders from some 90 countries and regions around the world. In his speech at a plenary session of the meeting, themed “Strategies of dynamic economies,” Minister Phuc highlighted Viet Nam’s socio-economic development and shared the country’s experiences in maintaining its high economic growth rates in the past years. At the event, Minister Phuc met with WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Prof Klaus Schwab, WEF Managing Director Peter Torrele, Vice Chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Commission Zhang Xiaoqiang and leaders of global economic giants.-Enditem
