Citibank, VPSC hook up in banking services

Ha Noi (VNA) – Citibank Viet Nam and Viet Nam Postal Savings Service Company (VPSC) signed an agreement to provide banking services for Vietnamese enterprises and individuals on September 11. The cooperation will help postal saving service customers at 3,000 post offices nationwide to pay or transfer money from their accounts to enterprises that use Citibank accounts. Citibank will also introduce an additional 800 desks to provide banking services in Viet Nam, said Citibank Viet Nam General Director Charly Madan, adding that that figure should eventually rise to 2000. Citibank, which began operation in 1993, was the first US bank to open a branch in Ha Noi in 1994.-Enditem
