HCM City (VNA) – As many as 3,611 contracts worth over 1.8 trillion VND (112.8 million USD) were signed during an international construction expo, Vietbuild 2007, held in Ho Chi Minh City from September 6-11.
Thirty percent of the contract were made with foreign parners coming from the UK, Italy, France, Thailand and others.
The six-day expo, which introduced the latest building materials, civil engineering technology, housing designs and interior decoration models, received 330,300 visitors.
Both the numbers of the signed contracts and visitors increased 20 percent over the figures of Vietbuild 2006.
Vietbuild 2007, jointly held by the Construction Ministry and the AFP International Exhibition and Fair Company, drew domestic and foreign businesses from 18 countries and territories worldwide.-Enditem
