Viet Nam, Laos ink deal to boost border trade

Ha Noi (VNA) – Viet Nam and Laos have agreed to facilitate crossborder transport and trade with the aim of boosting the trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. An agreement to the effect was inked by Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung and his Lao counterpart Somsavath Lengsavad in Ha Noi on September 14. Earlier, the two Deputy PMs scrutinised measures to enhance the cooperation in investment, trade and other potential fields such as hydro-electricity, mining and industrial crop plantation.-Enditem
