HCM City (VNA) – The VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange ended the September 17 session at 934.74 points, up 4.28 points or 0.46 percent with turnover of 5.86 million shares worth 588 billion VND.
The market saw 50 stocks move into the red, while another 34 made gains.
Contributing to market gains was Binh Dinh Mining (BMC) which tacked 8,000 VND onto its listed price.
Cavio Viet Nam Mining and Construction JSC (MCV), Bien Hoa Confectionery Corp. (BBC), Alta company (ALT), PetroVietnam Tourism and Services Co. (PET) and Lu Gia Mechanical Electric JSC (LGC) were also among the biggest movers.
Meanwhile, North Kinh Do Corp. (NKD), Saigon Maritime JSC (SHC), Tan Tao Industrial Park Corp. (ITA), Hau Giang Pharmaceutical JSC (DHG) and Da Nang Plastic JSC (DPC) were the biggest losers.
On the Ha Noi Securities Trading Centre, the HaSTC Index closed at 261.8 points, up 0.9 percent with turnover at 1.29 million shares worth over 112 billion VND.-Enditem
