Binh Thuan seeks stronger cooperation with Shenzhen

Ha Noi (VNA)- A delegation of officials and entrepreneurs from the central province of Binh Thuan is paying a visit to China’s economically bustling city of Shenzhen. The delegation, led by provincial People’s Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Thu, called at both manufacturers and exporters in the city, including the China Southern Power Grid Co. Ltd. (CSG) which is drawing up a project to build a coal-consumed thermo power plant in Binh Thuan province. Vice Chairman Thu said the Government of Viet Nam has given the green light for CSG to build two generators in the first phase of a 4-billion-USD project to build a 4,400 MW thermo power plant. Construction of the two 600 MW generators is scheduled for early 2008, he added.-Enditem
