Ha Noi (VNA) – More than 170 domestic and foreign enterprises are taking part in the Viet Nam International Communications Conference and Exhibition 2007 (Vietnam Comm 07) which opened in Ha Noi on September 19.
Vietnam Comm 07, themed “business opportunities for mobiles and wireless fields after WTO accession”, showcases the latest IT products from big names like NTT Docomo, France Telecom, Nokia and Siemens Network. They include 3G, bandwidth, NGN and satellites.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Stanley Chu, President of Hong Kong-based Adsale Service Company – the co-organiser of the event together with the Viet Nam Post and Telocoms Corp. (VNPT), said Vietnam Comm 07 offers opportunities for foreign businesses to expand their operations in Viet Nam.
Stephane Abiven, sales manager of France’s Alcatel Lucent Telecoms Group, said the development of the country’s mobile market has been red hot over the last two years and announced Alcatel’s plans to increase its market share in the country.
During the four-day exhibition, businesses from Viet Nam and 20 other countries and territories showcase their products and share experiences in doing business and application of cutting edge technologies.-Enditem
