Ha Noi (VNA) – Kaisa Consulting of the Philippines and the Ho Chi Minh City National University announced that they would launch an information technology training centre in Ho Chi Minh City on September 24.
The Kaisa centre will specialise in training consultants in SAP software applications. SAP is one of the world’s leading providers of business management software, with its popular software including ERP (enterprise resource planning), CRM (customer relations management) and SCM (supply chain management).
In an interview with the Dau Tu newspaper, Teh Opinion, Managing Director of Kaisa Consulting said Viet Nam’s enterprise resource planning solutions market is currently facing a shortage of skilled consultants.
Over recent years, the number of information technology training establishments has surged sharply in Viet Nam to meet increasing demand.
Along with universities and colleges providing IT training, various centres have been set up in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang with the involvement of foreign organisations such as Aptech, NIIT, Informatics Vietnam, Informatics Singapore and KENT.
According to a plan on information technology and communications human resources development until 2015, universities providing IT training are expected to ensure that by 2015, up to 80 percent of graduates are qualified to join the global human resources market.
