Brazilian diplomat: VN becomes development model

Buenos Aires (VNA) - Viet Nam has become a "model for development" with the creation of opportunities for foreign investors, said Joao de Mendonoa Lima Neto, who has just been appointed as Brazilian Ambassador to Viet Nam. Addressing a recent meeting of the Brazilian Senate's External Relations and National Defence Committee, Lima Neto attributed Viet Nam's renewal process (Doi moi) beginning from 1986 to the country's strong economic growth. The current Brazilian Ambassador to Viet Nam, Alcides Gastao Rostand Prates, emphasized the importance of developing ties with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), including Viet Nam.--Enditem
