NA Chairman joins children’s Mid-Autumn festival

Ha Noi (VNA) - National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong shared joy with 1,000 children at a Mid-Autumn festival held at the Thanh Xuan precinct’s cultural house on September 23. He joined in children’s song and dance performances that displayed their deep gratitudes to the late President Ho Chi Minh for bringing in peaceful festival for children. The top legislator expressed satisfaction at seeing the children wear more beaufiful dresses and have more toys to play at their traditional festival this year than previous ones as evidence of the nation’s improved living conditions He advised children to “try harder and harder to record better academic records and behave well so as to match great efforts made by the Party, the Government, organisations and their parents to bring them such a great Mid-Autumn festival.” He also called on the administration of Thanh Xuan precinct as well as other parts of Ha Noi to give the best of what they have for children, the future masters of Thang Long-Ha Noi and the country as a whole. Later on, the NA leader distributed gifts to children. He was shown around fruit trays decorated by teachers and students from 40 schools stationed in the precinct.
