Singaporean Defence Minister arrives

Ha Noi (VNA) - A delegation of the Singaporean Defence Ministry, led by Minister Teo Chee Hean arrived in Ha Noi on September 24 for an official visit to Viet Nam . At the talks held later the same day, the visiting Singapore Defence Minister and the host, Vietnamese Defence Minister Gen. Phung Quang Thanh, informed each other of the results of the two countries' cooperation in socio-economic development and national defence in their respective countries. The two sides exchanged experiences in army building, the fight against terrorism, humanitarian aid, rescue of natural calamity victims and peace keeping activities. They agreed to promote the exchange of delegations between the two ministries, enhancing bilateral and multilateral friendly cooperation between the armies and people of the two countries.-Enditem
