Meeting marks China’s National Day

25/09/2007 -- 8:00 PM

Ha Noi (VNA) – The Viet Nam-China Friendship Association (VCFA) hosted a meeting in Ha Noi on September 25 to celebrate China’s 58th National Day (October 1).

VCFA President Doan Manh Giao highlighted China’s achievements in socio-economic development over the past year, particularly its completed preparations for the 17th National Party Congress scheduled to open in Beijing on October 15.

He also singled out China’s Olympic preparations as well as the country’s rapid and stable economic growth.

Both Giao and Chinese Ambassador to Viet Nam Hu Qianwen expressed their belief that the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China would be successful.

They were optimistic that Viet Nam-China cooperative relations in the fields of politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, culture, education and people’s exchanges would further develop under the motto “friendly neighbourliness, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability and looking towards the future.”-Enditem
