Spokesman welcomes Japan’s new Prime Minister

Ha Noi (VNA) - Viet Nam’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Dung on September 25 offered congratulations to Mr. Yasuo Fukuda who will take up the post as Prime Minister of Japan. ”We congratulate Mr. Yasuo Fukuda on his recent election as Prime Minister of the Cabinet of Japan,” said Dung in his reply to reporters’ queries regarding Viet Nam’s reaction to the vote. The spokesman stressed that: “We believe that under the leadership of Prime Minister Fukuda, Japan will continue to develop prosperously, and that the friendship and multifaceted cooperation towards the building of a strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Japan will increasingly expand in the interest of the two countries’ people and for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.”-Enditem
