Pacific Airlines opens HCM City-Singapore route

09/10/2007 -- 6:02 PM

Ha Noi (VNA) - Pacific Airlines and Singapore’s Jetstar Asia have announced a joint-venture to conduct three flights a week between Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore from October 17.

The route will use A320 aircraft and provide a portion of all available tickets at budget rates.

Pacific Airlines General Director Luong Hoai Nam said the joint-venture will not only increase two companies’ market share but also help meet the increasing demands for air travels between the two countries.

Both Pacific Airlines and Jestar Asia are members of the Qantas Airways Group, the Australian national flag carrier.

Ta Huu Thanh, Deputy Head of the Northern Branch of the Pacific Airlines, said from October 29, his airlines will increase the number of flights on the Ho Chi Minh City-Bangkok route one a day from the three flights a week that run at present.--Enditem
