Ha Noi (VNA) – Newly appointed World Bank Director to Viet Nam Ajay Chhibber expressed his belief that donors would commit more assistance to the country at the 2007 Consultative Group Meeting.
The senior official made the remark at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem in Ha Noi on October 9.
The WB director committed to do his best to keep the International Development Association (IDA)’s capital flowing into the country while Viet Nam is still able to receive capital sourced from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
Deputy Prime Minister Khiem spoke highly of WB’s contributions to Viet Nam’s economic development, expressing hope that the relations between Viet Nam and WB would further develop.-Enditem
