HCM City to increase cooperation with Italian localities

HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City hopes to cooperate with Italian localities and will create beefed up conditions for Italian businesses and investors to cooperate further with local businesses, said the municipal People’s Committee Chairman Le Hoang Quan. Chairman Quan made the remark while receiving Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Massimo D’Alema in Ho Chi Minh City on October 9. He said he believed that this visit to Viet Nam by the Italian Deputy PM would pave the way to foster the cooperation between the two countries as well as between HCM City and localities of Italy. Appreciating the dynamic and rapid development of HCM City over the recent past, the Italian Deputy PM said he also wished to bolster cooperative ties between this key economic hub of Viet Nam and the Italian localities. On the same day, the Italian Deputy PM and his entourage visited the Cu Chi tunnels and met with Italian expatriates living and working in the city.-Enditem
