Senior army officers wrap up South Africa visit

Pretoria (VNA)- A high-level delegation of the Viet Nam People’s Army led by Gen. Le Van Dung, Director of the General Politics Department, concluded a week-long visit to South Africa on October 13. During their stay, the Vietnamese military officers held talks with a delegation of army leaders from the host country led by Commander-in-Chief Gen. G.N. Ngwenya. Host and guest discussed measures to boost relations between the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence and South African armed forces. The Vietnamese delegation also visited the National Defence Institute and several military training grounds of South Africa. Before leaving for Algeria on Oct. 13, the guests called on at the Vietnamese embassy, where Gen. Dung briefed the embassy staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community of the national socio-economic development.--Enditem
