Congratulations to Chinese National Party Congress

Ha Noi (VNA) - The Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee on October 15 sent a message of congratulations to the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The message runs as follows: “On the occasion of the opening of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), on behalf of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) and the Vietnamese people, we would like to extend our warmest congratulations to the Congress, and through the Congress, to all members of the CPC and the fraternal Chinese people. “We are very glad to see that, over the past years, with its consistent policy of reform for openness, the CPC has led the fraternal Chinese people to attain important achievements in all areas and make great progress in the all-round construction of a prosperous society. “We firmly believe that the resolutions to be adopted by the 17th Congress - an event of historical significance in the political life of the entire Party and people of China - will bring the socialist construction cause imbued with the Chinese identity into a new stage, successfully implementing the third step in China’s development strategy to turn itself into a developed country in the world by the middle of the 21st century. “ Viet Nam and China are neighbouring nations with adjoining mountains and rivers. The CPV and the CPC as well as the people of Viet Nam and China have for ages shared the traditional, friendly and close relationship. These fine ties were fostered by President Ho Chi Minh, President Mao Zedong and revolutionary predecessors of the two countries and have been nurtured and developed by generations. The Communist Party, State and people of Viet Nam attach great importance to both the “comradeship and fraternity” as well as the in-depth and comprehensive cooperation with the Communist Party, State and people of China . We are very delighted to find that the Viet Nam-China relationship has constantly developed in the recent years. “We are firmly confident that under the motto of “friendly neighbourliness, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability and looking towards the future” and the spirit of “good neighbours, good friends, good comrades and good partners” as defined by senior leaders of the two Parties and States, the traditional solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and people of Viet Nam and China will be constantly strengthened and developed in the interest of the Vietnamese and Chinese people, and for the benefit of socialism, peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world. “May the 17th National Congress of the CPC a great success.”-Enditem
